THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Chief Minister asked officials to immediately sort out the qualms raised by suspended IAS officer N Prashanth. Accordingly, the chief secretary sent a notice to Prasanth to appear next week for a hearing. The Chief Secretary will conduct a direct hearing and resolve the complaints.

N Prashanth had repeated that the decision to suspend him was arbitrary, without caring to hear his side. He had also sent a legal notice against Additional Chief Secretary Dr A Jayathilak over an alleged fake social media post.

The committee, chaired by the Chief Secretary, had submitted the file to the Chief Minister demanding an investigation against Prashanth. There is also a possibility of A Jayathilak becoming the Chief Secretary when Saradha Muraleedharan retires this month. The sudden decision to resolve feuds comes in the wake of this expected move. Prashanth was suspended on November 11 last year.
